During the NYC trip coordinated by Anne Gibbons (Code Pink NYC) and Sally Jones (Peace Action), on August 7, 2007, Bruce K. Gagnon, co-founder of the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space spoke about the space and war at the "Everything Goes Book Cafe", Staten Island, New York. The event was organized by the Peace Action, NY.
Following 15 min. screening of 'Arsenal of Hypocrisy' and 40 min. speech, the period of question and answer went about 40 min. It was a lively discussion about "how peace activists should react to the "arterial blockage" they are now finding in Congress with the Democratic Party."
“Don't be timid about having a discussion in your community about this question. Our future depends on us ending our slavish servitude to a party that takes us completely for granted.”(Bruce Gagnon, http://space4peace.blogspot.com)
